THE Backstory
Emerging from humble beginnings in Alaska, Nicole passionately began her young performance career in high school as a 4 year Debate Team state champion, a 4 year winner in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition, and as a merit award winner in the National YoungARTS Foundation.
Nicole was scouted to train in Music, Theatre, and Dance at the University of Alaska Anchorage as early as middle school. She recently acquired a BM in Vocal Performance and a BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University, with credits also from Elon University and Boston University.
In 2014, Nicole was a finalist in the Classical Singer international competition, and was a winner in the Musical Theatre division in 2016. Her success there has provided her opportunities to work and study all over the world in Opera and Musical Theatre, including New York, Austria, and France over the past few years.
Nicole is a versatile voice and personality, with belt, legit, and whistle-tone capabilities. As a formidable talent especially in Musical Theatre and Opera, Nicole has worked with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, BoHo Theatre, Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, and others. Favorite roles have included Nedda in Pagliacci, Trix in The Drowsy Chaperone, Yvette in Miss Saigon, Marie in La fille du régiment, and Anne in A Little Night Music.
